“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue”  2 Peter 1:3.

LIGHT FOR NOW: Christ is the fulfillment of all of God’s promises.

Some Christians still have the Old Testament mentality of trying to get something from God; trying to make the promises of God come to pass in their lives. But to have this kind of mentality is to be completely ignorant of what Christ came to do. It is to operate the military law in a democracy. You cannot operate an Old Testament law in the New Testament. You cannot live the life of the Old Testament and think you are living the Christian life. Christ is the fulfillment of all of God’s promises. This means that with the coming of Christ, there is no single promise of God that has not been fulfilled in the life of the believer in Christ. What else would you desire of someone who has already given you Himself? All the promises in the Old Testament have been fulfilled and abrogated. If a country amends its constitution, will someone still operate under the old provisions?

The truth is that God had already given us Himself, His kingdom, and everything we need. When you come into Christ, everything belongs to you. There is nothing left for God to give to you. He has already given you everything. You have become a joint-heir with Christ. Quit struggling. God has already given you everything that pertains to life and godliness. Nothing is left out. Stop struggling or worrying about your bills. Enjoy your life in Christ. Come into a life of rest. Live the Word. Study and meditate on His word and you will discover that everything you could ever need has already been provided for you in Christ.

INSTRUCTION: Enjoy the life of God at work in your life.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for the fulfilment of all your promises in Christ. I walk in the consciousness that all things are mine, in Jesus Name. Amen.

QUOTE: You cannot operate a military law in a democracy.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. – John 3:17

LIGHT FOR NOW: Love lavishly and give bountifully!

The death of Jesus is used as an example of giving and generosity. Christ died while we were yet good for nothing. The Apostle Paul puts it this way In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it … So then, when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat, for when you are eating, some of you go ahead with your own private suppers. As a result, one person remains hungry and another gets drunk. Don’t you have homes to eat and drink in? or do you despise the church of God by humiliating those who have nothing? … Shall I praise you? certainly not in this matter! For I received the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took the bread and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this  in remembrance of me.”…he took the cup, saying, “This is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes’(1 Corinthians 11:18-26 [NIV]).

The believers used to bring food to the church and eat together – this is called Love Feast, not Communion. At Love Feasts, the rich displayed a high level of selfishness by not sharing their food with the poor. Hence, the Apostle Paul pointed out that this was displeasing to God! The essence of Love Feast was thwarted! There was no Love in the so-called Love Feast. Paul kicked against the segregation and discrimination. He made it known in clear terms that their selfish attitude was not pleasing to God!

The death of Christ should be the focus in loving others and giving to them. When you understand how much Christ loves us, you will not need any other reason to love another person. Let Christ be your reasons for loving others. And there is no love without giving; for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son …(John 3:16 [NIV]). Love lavishly and give bountifully!

INSTRUCTION:Don’t give for what you can gain. Give because Christ dwells in you.

Prayer:I will not give because of material gain, I will give because of the Love of Christ, in Jesus Name!

QUOTE:There is no love without giving.

“No one born (begotten) of God [ deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him [His principle of life…the divine sperm, remains permanently within Him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God” – 1 John 3:9 (AMP)

LIGHT FOR NOW: When your nature is captured, your actions change.

By virtue of Adam’s disobedience, sin entered into the world. This means that everybody was born into the sinful nature. Man did not have to do anything to be called a sinner. He was already born a sinner. But when a man comes into Christ Jesus by believing in the Gospel of Christ that is preached, the sinful Adamic nature was captured and replaced with the divine nature of God in Christ Jesus. When your nature is captured, your actions change. The nature of God is a righteous nature. Just as man did not have to do anything to be called a sinner by virtue of the Adamic nature, when a man comes into Christ via belief, he is automatically made righteous. Righteousness is therefore a gift from God to man. The righteous nature is the DNA of God that contains the totality of what makes God who He is. This DNA contains life, love, kindness, purity, mercy, truth, light etc.

As a believer in Christ Jesus, you have no right to continue in sin. This is because there is no sin in God’s divine nature. And we are partakers in that divine nature. A believer in Christ is righteous. What makes God to be God has been deposited inside the believer in Christ.  You are the headquarters of divinity; the residential address of the God-kind; a partaker of the heavenly calling called only for good works. You are to manifest the works of God. When you enter into a place; that is God entering the place. Therefore, you have no right to leave a situation the same way you met it. You are a God walking here on the earth. Yes! You are a walking God. This is not heresy. If Christ dwells inside of you and Christ is God, then you are a god. “For ye are gods…” (Psalm 82:6). You are a partaker of the divine nature. Hallelujah!!!

 INSTRUCTION:Focus on your new nature.

PRAYER: Father, I receive capacity to live and operate in my new nature, in Jesus Name. Amen.

QUOTE: When Grace kidnaps you, no ransom is demanded.

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” – Romans 5:1

LIGHT FOR NOW: Now that you have been justified, you have no record of sin.

To be justified is to be discharged and acquitted. It is to declared not guilty and have a right standing with God. To be justified is to be united, to be in union with God. This means that we are no longer enemies to God. Christ was made to be sin for us. David spoke about Christ and gave a good report about Him (Hebrews 11:23). In Christ, we have been declared free and acquitted. The Old Covenant scolds, exposes and institutes all forms of legislations. The old covenant was anti-human. In the New Covenant, there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Hebrews 8:10 says, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more”. This simply means that you have been found not guilty and discharged and acquitted. You do not have any record of sin anymore. It will therefore be a serious violation of agreement and gross injustice to repeat a punishment that was already put on someone.

Life is now strictly based on faith in Christ. Faith in the finished work of Christ is what makes life beautiful. Jesus is not just sitting on the mercy seat, He is the Mercy Seat.  The confession and belief that Christ was raised from the dead is what guarantees your redemption and it is your redemption that guarantees your justification. The work is grace is possible only because Christ made Himself available. Until your belief system is established in Christ, you cannot be justified. Therefore, you need to have an honest belief in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

INSTRUCTION: Believe in Christ and you are justified.

PRAYER: I am in Him justified and He is in me glorified, in Jesus Name. Amen.

QUOTE: Until you are justified, you cannot be glorified.

“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law” – Romans 3:2

LIGHT FOR NOW: Law is helpless where faith in Christ is at work.

Your journey in life as a Christian is that of honour because what the law could not do for you, Christ has done it in redemption. The Christian journey is a journey of faith and not a journey of what you can do or what you cannot do. Law magnifies your inabilities to help yourself but faith in Christ Jesus reduces your effort and magnifies the abilities of Christ in you. Romans 3:20 says, “therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for the law is the knowledge of sin”. The law cannot bring justification. Only faith in Christ brings justification. Law is helpless where faith in Christ is at work. When you receive Christ into your life, you receive a not guilty verdict. Jesus became a propitiation through faith just as it is written in Romans 3:24-25, “being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; whom God hath sent set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that have passed through the forebearance of God”.

Faith is the door that ushers you into the justification made possible by the blood of Jesus Christ as the mitigation, satisfaction, or grant to the demands of the law. The law demanded that man should die as a penalty for sin for the wages of sin is death. But faith in the finished work of Christ brings you into a place of no condemnation where you stand right before God. In Romans 8:33, the Bible says, “Who shall lay any charge to God’s elect? It is God that justifieth”. Therefore, walk in this consciousness that you have been justified by faith in Christ Jesus. Never allow the condemnation in the law make you lose sight or focus of your justification.

INSTRUCTION: Never lose focus of your justification.

Prayer: Lord, in you I am justified, in Jesus Name!

QUOTE: Your ability in the law is a disability until your faith in Christ receives ability.
