“ And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice” – Genesis 22:18

LIGHT FOR NOW: If you refuse the Blessing; you will miss the blessings.

The Blessing is a person of Jesus. Jesus is the Word that became flesh. The blessing is therefore the word spoken in someone’s life to cause positive changes. You must understand that when one is blessed, it does not matter any other word spoken against the person, he is blessed for life. In blessing, there is no second option. There is a need to know that there is a difference between blessings and the Blessing. Blessings can come your way in form of money, riches and other material things in order to solve a problem at a particular time. But the Blessing is the person of Jesus Christ. When you come into Christ, you come into the blessing such that no matter where you find yourself, be it in the desert or wilderness, you manifest it. The blessing is God in you. God gave Himself to Abraham. God has also given Himself to us in the person of Christ. The blessing is a personality and that personality is Christ Jesus. If you refuse the Blessing; you miss the blessings.

It is the blessing that takes care of other pressing needs. When you carry the Blessing, you manifest the blessings. The Blessing is a guarantee of all blessings, therefore go for the Blessing first (Matthew 6:33). In blessing, it takes a higher authority for it to be enforced. “And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better” (Hebrews 7:7). To this end, Jesus – the Highly Exalted One is the final authority that enforces the blessings on your life. In Him, you have been blessed with all spiritual things. Receive Christ, receive the Blessing.

INSTRUCTION: Receive Christ, Receive the Blessing.

Prayer: Lord, I have the Blessing, I will manifest my blessings, in Jesus Name!

QUOTE: When you carry the Blessing, you will manifest your blessings.

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues” – Mark 16:17

LIGHT FOR NOW:  The Supernatural is domiciled in you.

It is important to note that the realm of the supernatural is the believer’s nature. Nothing on earth is qualified to threaten a man who believes in Christ. The supernatural depicts the rearrangement of natural things. The moment a man receives Christ, he becomes an epitome of miracles. Miracles are not strange to the believer in Christ. There is a need for the believer in Christ to know who he is and what he carries. Miracles are the signs that follow a believer in Christ Jesus. What we see as a miracle is a sign of approval that there is someone behind the scene working things out for your favour. When you see a miracle, it is a pointer to something unique. Miracle is an attraction. It is not the real substance, but there is absolutely no way you can have Christ and miss the miracles. When you have “HIM”, the “IT” becomes all yours. The abandoned pot became the source of the sweetest wine because the “HIM” was involved. The make-up of a believer in Christ is miracles.

When you know your status, your stature does not matter. As a believer in Christ, you are to go about doing good just as Jesus did when he walked on the earth because, as he is, so are you in this world. God’s acts of kindness, compassion, goodness and love was ‘the doing good’ (Matthew 14:14). The healing miracles of Jesus were borne out of his compassionate nature. As a believer in Christ, you have no right to leave ugly situations the same way you meet them. You have been empowered to heal the sick, raise the dead, and turn mourning into dancing. Miracles defy time because time does not control God but God controls time.

INSTRUCTION: Believe in Christ and reclaim your miraculous nature.

Prayer:   Thank you Father for making me a product of miracles, in Jesus Name!

QUOTE: When you have “HIM”, the “IT” becomes yours.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid” – Matthew 5:14

LIGHT FOR NOW:  As a believer in Christ, you have become the light of the world.

Before Jesus Christ left this world, he said he is the light of the world (John 8:12). He also said in Matthew 5:14, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid”. This statement was futuristic of when he would have left this world in order to live inside of you. This means that Jesus expected a situation where we as His followers will step into his shoes and shine out the light and glory of Christ in us, being an example of a people created after his image and likeness. The Prophet Isaiah saw this and said in his prophecy and said, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to thy rising” (Isaiah 60:1-3). Prophet Isaiah was referring to our days when Christ would have come to this dark world and manifest his glory to the world after which the glory will reflect on us as sons. After Christ left the earth, the believer in Christ became the light of the world.

You are now the light of the world and your light is meant to shine and be so visible like a city that is set on a hill. As a believer in Christ, you must realize that you are the image of God on the earth and your life must therefore represent your God. Remember, Jesus Christ walked on the earth doing the works of His Father. This is the same way we are to walk on the earth shinning and reflecting the glory of Christ, irrespective of the darkness in the world. This glorious light will be noticed through the higher life that you live, as well as the works you do. Your works, whether good or bad will whether you are shinning the light of Christ or not. Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”. This means that, the light you shine by your works will either draw men to God or drive them away from Him. Therefore, you must choose to shine your light and draw men to God.

INSTRUCTION: You must shine out the light of Christ in you and draw men to God.

Prayer: I am the light of the world because the true light lives in me. Therefore, I will shine out the light in me everywhere I am and draw men to God, in Jesus Name! Amen!!

QUOTE: You are the glory of God.

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.’ – Philemon 1:6

LIGHT FOR NOW: You cannot appropriate what you don’t know!

The sharing, fellowship, participation of your faith may be effectual because you acknowledge or have accurate knowledge or revelation of what He has done for you. If you don’t know what He has done for you how would you appropriate it? This is why knowledge is important in salvation.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?’ (Romans 10:13). Until you know, you cannot acknowledge it!

This was one of the Pauline prayers to Philemon his son. He said the same prayers at Philippians 1:9-11. It reads ‘And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgement; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God’. Again, to the church in Colossae Paul wrote ‘For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in e very good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness’ (Colossians 1:9-11). All of Paul’s prayers were focused on the believers’ need for the precise knowledge of Christ. He said that by this the Christian life of such believers will be effectual. This way, every believer in Christ must of a necessity come into this knowledge, lest their lives will not be effective.

The believer must know the what, why, when and how of salvation, which will be considered in the proceeding days. If you miss these four facets of salvation, your work here on Earth will be ineffective; and you will be a minus to humanity. Certainly, you will get to a point where you will be doubting your salvation. This is evident on events where people say that ‘they gave their lives to Christ’. This is the product of wrong teachings; their teachers do not have the insight, or an understanding of what salvation is all about. Right believing stems from right teachings! You cannot believe what you don’t know. Your belief is your identity!

INSTRUCTION: In all you get, get accurate knowledge of salvation by Christ.

PRAYER:  Lord I thank you for the light. I believe right, and I know I am saved, in Jesus name.

QUOTE: Right Teachings Produce Right Beliefs.

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” –   2 Corinthians 1:20

LIGHT FOR NOW: The first approach to solving mysteries is knowledge and not belief.

Jesus is the embodiment of the fulfillment of God’s promises, prophecies and plans to man. He is God’s positive answer to man’s negative situations and questions of life. This is why He is called the grace of God that brings salvation (Titus 2:11).  God’s promises to you in Christ are yes and amen. This means that God does not turn around to say no to your prayers concerning what he had already promised you. His promises are automatic answers to you. The Old Testament books contain numerous promises, prophecies and plans of God for man which were full of mysteries, riddles and parables that could not be understood by them; such that, even today, it takes the reading of the Epistles, which is the explanation of the mysteries, in order to understand the old testament books (Ephesians 3:1-10). Even Jesus Christ communicated in parables. “All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world” (Matthew 13:34-35). It was because of ignorance that made the Jews not to accept Jesus or believe the gospel. The first approach to solving mysteries is knowledge or understanding, and not belief. It is knowledge that gives rise to faith. This is why whenever Jesus said something that was heavier than their eyes could bear, they would pick up stones to stone him.

Jesus said, “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself, but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come”. On the way to Emmaus after his resurrection, Jesus met two of his disciples discussing. Luke 24: 27 says, “And beginning at Moses, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself”. Verse 45 of that same scripture says, “Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures”. Therefore, it is the Epistles that explained the mysteries in the Old Testament to us by the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 3:3-5 says, “How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery….. which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit”.

INSTRUCTION: Get an understanding of the scriptures.

Prayer: I receive by faith, every promise of God in His word to me, for his promises to me are already answered prayers, in Jesus Name! Amen!!

QUOTE: God’s promises are yea and Amen.

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart; that is, the word of faith, which we preach”   –      Romans 10:8

LIGHT FOR NOW: You are the first prophet of your life.

One basic aspect of the lifestyle of faith which produces results for the believer is the declaration of the word of God in his spirit. It is releasing that word of God in you mixed with faith through prophetic declarations and confessions. As a believer in Christ, you must know that it is your duty to say what God says concerning that situation of your life. You are the first prophet of your life. If the Word of God says that by his stripes you are healed, it is your duty to declare that by his stripes you are healed; and sickness will have no place in your life. Everything hears and obeys the word of God (Ezekiel 37:1-10). The entire creation of God was done by speaking the word (Genesis 1:1-31).

So as you declare the word of God, every situation and mountain in your life, body and soul shall bow to the word of God and the name of Jesus Christ. Whatever you want to see tomorrow, prophetically declare it today according as it is written in the Word of God and they shall all come to pass. The Word is in nearer to you than you think. It is in your heart and even in your mouth. Just make good use of your mouth. Speak the right words into the atmosphere. Declare the word of faith. Speak those things that be not as though they were. It will surely come to pass in your life in Jesus name, Amen.

INSTRUCTION: Keep declaring the word of faith.

PRAYER: Father, I receive grace to keep speaking the right words over every situation of life I find myself, in Jesus Name.  Amen.

QUOTE: Faith is not an event, Faith is a person.
