WE BELIEVE, THEREFORE WE SPEAK (1)

“Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of heavenly calling, consider the Apostles and High priest of our confession, Christ Jesus” – Hebrews 3:1 NKJV

LIGHT FOR NOW: You must learn to hold onto intangible realities with faith filled confessions.

Let’s consider Romans 10:10-18; “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But I say, have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world”.

1Timothy 6:12 says, “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses”. This scripture presents us with an important principle for laying hold on that which is undetectable to your senses, such as eternal life; and the way to do this is through your faith-filled confessions. It says, “…lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called and hast professed a good profession” (1Timothy 6:12). The word “profession” is the same as “confession” and it is the Greek word “homologous” which implies speaking the same thing in consent or agreement. It means to declare openly, by way of speaking out freely your deep conviction based on the word of God. So you must learn to hold onto intangible realities with faith-filled confessions. You must be well armed with what the word says about you in times of dryness, scarcity, and crises; for example, Jeremiah 17:7-8 says, “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit”. Let this be your testimony today and throughout this year, because it’s God’s Word concerning you. We must keep speaking out the truth based on the word of God. That’s how to enforce the realities of our new life in Christ. Glory!

INSTRUCTION: Keep saying it; don’t stop saying it!

CONFESSION: This year, I affirm that I am what the Word I am; I have what the Word says I have and I do what the Word says I can do, in Jesus Name, Amen.

QUOTE: You are what you say repeatedly.
