“Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to the saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of his mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”Colossians 1:26-27

LIGHT FOR NOW: As a son of God, you are the temple of God.

The believer cannot afford identity crises. He must be well grounded in the knowledge of Christ – the right kind of knowledge, one that’s granted only by the Holy Spirit. Revelation knowledge isn’t offered in colleges and schools, it’s only offered in scriptures by the Holy Spirit. “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling and what the riches if the glory of his inheritance in the saints” (Ephesians 1:17-18).

God has done this by the written word “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things yes, the deep things of God” (1 Corinthians 2:9-10). Therefore, when we pray as Paul did, what is revealed is made available to our minds, hence the admonition to see the word as our mirror – as the perfect law of liberty (James 1:22-25). There we see ourselves as He sees us; only by looking at Jesus can our true identity be made known to us. When Moses in Exodus 33:15 requested of the Lord saying, “If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence”; that was actually a dispensation different from ours today. Presently, we enjoy a better dispensation than what they had then; as a new creature, you are the temple of God and the Holy Ghost dwells in you (1Corinthians 6:19; 1Corinthians 3:16).

Interestingly, this was the subject of Jesus’ discussion with His disciples in John 14. In verse 2, He said, “In my father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you”. Many believers are confused about this verse of the scripture; they ignorantly say that Jesus spoke of going to build big mansions. The word “mansion” isn’t buildings or cities or estates, but the Greek word “mone”; it means a place of being, where you are, your location, your dwelling. “House” in the above text is the Greek word “oikia” and it implies a family or household. “Mansion” implies a place where Jesus occupies in other to continue his activities. Here, Jesus was pointing to an event in His resurrection; He was saying, at my resurrection, there are many places where I will stay to continue my activities. We shall build on this in our subsequent study. Halleluiah!!!

INSTRUCTION: You are sealed with the Holy Ghost; acknowledge this! PRAYER: I am found in Christ; sealed by the Holy Ghost and I am a living and moving temple of God, in Jesus Name, Amen.

QUOTE: Mansion is not a building but a place of being.
