“Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,” – Ephesians 1:15-19
LIGHT FOR NOW: When deity takes up residence in humanity, it is called “born again”.
In our analysis on this terminology “born again”, we came to deduce conclusively in our previous study that to say I am born again means:
- I am born anew
- I am born from above
- I am born of the spirit
- I am born or begotten of by God
- I am indwelt by God’s spirit or I am born by God’s spirit
- I am born by the living word who is the person of Jesus Christ
Meaning, all of the above facts are in reference to the same spiritual truth, the New Birth. So, when God’s spirit takes up residence in a man, which is called what? Born again. When God and man unite in Christ, that is called what? Born again. In other words, born again is the union, marriage or amalgamation of God and man. When deity takes up residence in humanity, that is called born again. Now if “born again” means that God gives birth to me or am begotten of by God (James 1:17-18), then it means my genetic makeup is God’s genetic makeup; God’s DNA is my DNA. That is why Peter lets us know that our seed is incorruptible. Now the word seed is the Greek word “sperma” which implies life source; what begins a process; your genes, your heredity, your DNA. Meaning, at the point of new birth (or salvation) my genealogy began in Christ. Paul says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2Corinthians 5:17). Don’t forget that from our explanation of 1Peter 1:23, it’s clear that the born again man is not of a natural procreation or generation. So, to trace a generational problem in the natural to a man (the born again) whose genealogy is in Christ is a misplaced identity. Don’t forget, this man is in Christ; he is one generation away (he and Christ). Don’t also forget that this man is in Christ, so to know this man it will be in Christ. So, if this man has a generational problem; that is a generational curse, covenant, ancestral covenant or foundational problem, it has to be in Christ, why? Christ is his generation or his genealogy is in Christ, Christ is his foundation; Christ is his ancestor.
But in Jesus’ genealogy, is there any generational curse? No. in Jesus’ genealogy, where he himself is our ancestor, is the any ancestral covenant? No. In Jesus’ genealogy, where he himself is the foundation, is there any foundational problem or could Christ be a faulty foundation? No. So, when you are talking of ancestral covenant, generational curses, faulty foundations, family altar, etc. in the natural or from the natural generation of this man (the born again man), you are obviously not talking to this man because this man is in Christ and he cannot be known outside Christ; so whatever is not in Christ or in his genealogy in Christ is not in him. Hallelujah!
INSTRUCTION: Be full of the word.
PRAYER: The eyes of my understanding are enlightened in Jesus Name. Amen.
QUOTE: The man in Christ is in Christ, and thus, you cannot know this man in Christ outside Christ.
