“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” – Philemon 1:6
LIGHT FOR NOW: Knowledge is a requirement and necessity if the Christian walk must be an adventure in victory.
The knowledge of Christ is the knowledge and only knowledge that nourishes the believer spiritually, grows him spiritually and makes him active and effective in his Christian walk. Thus, it can be boldly deduced that the Christian walk is a knowledge base walk; Christianity is a knowledge based faith. The Christian walk becomes an adventure in victory when premium is placed on knowledge; the knowledge of what avails to you in Christ; that is:
- Who you are in Christ.
- What you have in Christ.
- What Christ can do through you.
You can’t be effective in your Christian walk more than the knowledge of Christ you have. The knowledge of Christ you have is to aid effectiveness in your Christian walk. Knowledge therefore is a necessity or an essential ingredient in the believers’ walk with God or walk of faith. Even God himself is a God of knowledge; thus, Christianity itself is a knowledge based faith. An Old Testament text says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children” (Hosea 4:6). The absence of knowledge is very disadvantageous and disastrous for the believer in Christ. When who you are in Christ, what you have in Christ and what Christ can do through you is not known to you, Satan can take you on a ride. Satan thrives on the ignorance of believers. You cannot afford to be in ignorance. Go for knowledge! Glory!
INSTRUCTION: Be knowledge oriented.
CONFESSION: Father, the desire to know more of you and more of me in you is increased, in Jesus Name. Amen.
QUOTE: If you are not driven by knowledge, you will stay in ignorance.
