“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him” – Colossians 2:6
LIGHT FOR NOW: The believer will only be effective as how much he or she knows.
It is a fact that through Jesus’ sacrificial and vicarious death, the believer has been brought into a place of perpetual liberty – he sits in Christ far above the crippling limitations of this world; but why are some believers still oppressed and afflicted? The truth is that there is a direct correlation between what you know and the quality of life you live; what you know plays a vital role in determining how your life plays out. You will never accomplish more as a believer, than your knowledge will allow; hence Apostle Peter would say, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord” (2 Peter 1:2). Actually, the only thing standing between some believers and their ever-winning adventure in Christ is their ignorance of God’s word, not sin or the devil. Accurate, precise and comprehensive knowledge of the word of God (Greek: epignosis) is what will build your faith and catapult you to a higher place of operations as a believer. It will help you to comprehend and apprehend all that’s available to you in Christ.
The believer will only be as effective as how much he or she knows. “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” (Philemon 1:6). The believer must therefore be careful the kind of messages he is exposed to because he will definitely become what you keep hearing; you can never be better than what you keep hearing. As a child of God, because Christ has taken resident in you permanently, you have the right to walk out of any pain. Beloved, you came alive to God through the new birth; you are superior to the systems of this ailing world; in Christ, you’re made to win and keep flourishing in God’s sufficiency always. Keep mirroring yourself in the word and stay conscious of what God has said about you in His word.
INSTRUCTION: You are sealed with the Holy Ghost; acknowledge this!
PRAYER: I affirm that the Father has granted me grace and ceaseless ability in Christ Jesus to reign in life. Christ in me is my assurance for a continuous life of victory, in Jesus Name, Amen.
QUOTE: You can never be better than what you know.
