“Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,” – Ephesians 1:15-19
LIGHT FOR NOW: A Christian life devoid of the knowledge of God’s word will be an ineffective Christian life.
In our previous studies on this subject that Satan steals in the ignorance of the believer. The effectiveness of your Christian walk is dependent on the knowledge of God’s word you have. That’s why Satan will do anything in his power to stop a believer from growing in God’s word. Satan could do it in the form of distractions from association; even social media could be a serious distraction to a believer if he brings himself under the law of these things; if the believer allows these things dominate, control and regulate his life instead of allowing God’s word control and regulate his life. That is why a serious minded believer who really wants to grow spiritually doesn’t always want to be socially aware of what is happening in town; they don’t pay attention to every information because not every information is good; not every news is good for you; not every video is good for you. This in no way means self-righteous; rather, this is you maintaining a sober and vigilant Christian life; it is you being circumspect and meticulous in your walk on earth. You know, what dominates you controls you. If you are dominated by social media, you will be controlled by social media; but if you are dominated by the word, you will be controlled by the word. Which one would you like? Is it to be dominated by God’s word or to be dominated by information, news or videos that feed the flesh while on social media? But choose wisely. If you want your life to be dominated by God’s word, then you can’t afford to live a careless Christian life, getting yourself exposed to what you are not supposed to be exposed to as a believer, then get ready to live in identity crisis. You are what you eat. If you feed on God’s word, you will definitely reflect God’s totality on earth, but if you feed on things that feed on filthiness, you will stand telling God to use someone else and not you because you think you are too filthy for God to use back up with the fact that you have given Satan a place to condemn or accuse you day and night. So, be vigilant!
INSTRUCTION: Fear on God’s word.
PRAYER: Thank you Lord for your word that gave birth to me, I declare that I am graced to feed on the same, in Jesus Name. Amen.
