“Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and ye shall keep my judgments and do them… I will also save you from all uncleanness and I will call for the corn, and will increase it and lay no famine upon you” Ezekiel 36:25-27 & 29.

LIGHT FOR NOW: You are a new creature; you began in Christ, you continue in Christ and Christ is your finishing point.

We have seen in the course of this study that the freshness being implied in Ezekiel’s prophecy above is the reality of the born again man, the new creature in Christ. Hence, Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 5:17 which reads “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new”.

Recall, freshness is being implied by the term “new creature” (the new creature speaks of freshness of being or a fresh being; that is, this man had not been in existence before). Thus, the man in Christ is a new man because his existence began in Christ, this man continues in Christ and this man will finish in Christ. So, the man in Christ is a new man and Ezekiel’s prophecy in our opening text was about this new man. Let’s see other overwhelming text in the epistles that affirms the fact that the man in Christ is a new man or a new creature: “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature” (Galatians 6:15).

“Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace” (Ephesians 2:15). “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness” (Ephesians 4:24). I am a new creation; Christ is where I begin, Christ is where I finish. We are species of people that had not been in existence before. No wonder Apostle Peter calls us peculiar people in 1Peter 2:9 which reads “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light”. I am of a peculiar generation; I am a chosen generation; God calls me holy (a holy nation) and thus I call myself what He calls me (I am a holy nation). Hallelujah!!!

INSTRUCTION: If you don’t want to live less of your realities, then know your realities.

PRAYER: Father I declare that my realities in You found in Your word will flood my entire mind like never before. And I give expression to these realities in my walk in Jesus Name, Amen.

QUOTE: When what is to be known by the knower is not known, then the knower will live less of what is to be known because what is to be known by the knower has not been known.
