“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are new” – 2Corinthians 5:17
LIGHT FOR NOW: Where the new creature is concerned, only God’s word can define him.
The new creature is a bundle of mystery to the world; he is mysterious to the systems of the world. The new man is only demystified in Christ; Satan cannot explain the man in Christ. The man in Christ is higher than Satan. Satan is not a headache to the new creature; the new creature is a headache to Satan. When you know your reality, you will understand that it is not you who should be afraid of Satan; it is Satan who should be afraid of you. Satan is afraid of you, his demons are of you.
If you doubt this, see what Jesus said about you in Mark 16:17, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak in new tongues; they shall take up serpent; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17-18). In the above text, is it the devil that is casting the believer out or the believer that is casting the devil out? Observe the disciples’ words in Luke 10:17, “And the seventy returned again with joy saying; Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name”.
Don’t lose sight that at this point Jesus had not yet died and risen from the dead; meaning they did not have Jesus taking up residence in their hearts. If they had that much power and authority over devils before Jesus died, how much more now that he is not dead but alive; how much more now that he lives in you. In verse 19 of Luke 10, it reads “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and all over the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”; we are the power house of God.
All of God’s power is embedded on our inside; he has not just given us the power, we have the power; the power is inherent in us. Satan is not our prayer point; we are in authority. Hallelujah!!!
INSTRUCTION: Know thyself.
PRAYER: I am the new creature; I am the man in authority. I am in charge of my environment. I am a working expression of God on earth, in Jesus Name. Amen.
QUOTE: The degree to which you know what you can do in Christ is the degree to which you know who you are and what you have in Christ.
