“But God who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved); And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” – Ephesians 2:4-6.
LIGHT FOR NOW: The believer has authority to make things happen the way he wants it to happen.
Upon the resurrection of Jesus, the man in Christ was made to sit together with Christ. In other words, upon resurrection, the man in Christ occupies the authority of God in Christ. That is why the believer’s authority was consequent upon the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Observe the word “sit together” which was translated from the Greek word which implies “you can never find one without the other”; that is, where Jesus is, is where the believer is; what Jesus does is what the believer can do; what Jesus has, the believer has; what belongs to Jesus belongs to the believer. So Jesus’ authority is the believer’s authority; Jesus’ power is the believer’s power; where He is seated is where we are seated. In Christ resurrection, we have His life and the believer’s authority is a fact of the eternal life we have received from God. Our dominion and authority is in the life that Christ gives. The believer’s authority is the fact that God raised the believer with Christ. The authority is the authority of the post resurrection reality. We have the life of the exalted Christ; we have the authority of the exalted Christ.
The authority of Jesus’ resurrection is in the believer. The believer has authority to make things happen the way he wants it to happen. You can have it the way you want it if only you can acknowledge the resources inside you. The believer’s authority is not without reasons, the believer’s authority is not like an ornament; the believer’s authority is a necessity. God made the believer’s authority available because he knew you will need it; it is not God that needs it, it is you that needs it. It is not God that will use the authority; it is you that will use the authority. So God will not use your authority for you; God will not enforce your authority for you. You will have to use it yourself; you will have to enforce it yourself. Glory!!!
INSTRUCTION: Don’t just know your authority, use your authority.
CONFESSION: My realities are made known to me Lord, in the revelation of your word and I live in the consciousness of them like never before, in Jesus Name, Amen
QUOTE: Authority discovered but not exercised is wasted.
