YOU HAVE BEEN MADE RIGHT WITH GOD

“Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved, for  bear them record they… being ignorant of God’s righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God”- Romans 10:1-3

LIGHT FOR NOW: The nature of righteousness is at work in the believer.

In our theme text, Paul further uses salvation and righteousness interchangeably, which implies that the only way one can be said to be righteous is to be born again.

He made the same claim in Romans 1:16-17 when he said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth… for therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith…” Key words here are “Gospel”, “Salvation” and “righteousness”, meaning that it is when one believes the Gospel that we can boldly say he or she is saved and righteous.

So it is when a man has righteousness as a nature, that he can produce the rightness of God as a lifestyle. That nature of righteousness is only imparted in the man’s spirit when he hears and believes the Gospel of Christ. God’s righteousness is only revealed in a man when he is born again. It is what becomes a reality – through faith in the finished work of Christ.

“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption” (1 Corinthians 1:30). The nature of righteousness gives you the ability to do right and fulfill the will of the Father. God is always right; it’s His nature to be right. This nature of righteousness is at work in the believer. So in our Kingdom, we do righteousness; we walk in righteousness and do works of righteousness; we manifest the goodness of God to the world. Glory!!!

INSTRUCTION: You have been eternally forgiven. Think on this!

PRAYER: I affirm that I rejoice for who I am in Christ; by my nature, the righteousness of God is seen in all I do. Glory!!! Amen!!!

QUOTE: Jesus is the propitiation and payment for the sins of the whole world.
