“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” – Colossians 1:14

LIGHT FOR NOW: The believer is born of God.

For a victorious Christian living, the believer ought to have an unveiling of what he is before the Father and how the Father looks upon us in Christ. Remember in John 3:3-5 Jesus said, “Except one be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God”; here He was referring to the outcome of His death, burial and resurrection, which has brought about the new creation. The believer is born of God; He came out of the very womb of God, so says 1 John 4:4:  ” Ye are of God, little children…”; and the Apostle Paul makes it more explicit when he said,  “For in one Spirit were we all immersed into one body, and were all made to drink of one Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:13). Just as truly as Jesus came out from the Father, so also did we come out from Him through the energy of the Spirit. We’re part of the very life of God because His very nature has been poured into our Spirits thereby making us God-kinds. We can now understand Jesus’ confession about being the Son of God, even though it staggered the Jews and startled His disciples.

Just as truly as we came out from the Father at new birth, we have to live fulfilling His purpose and nothing will help us in achieving this as to being aware that we do not belong here on the earth; our citizenship is in heaven upon salvation. The life of the man in Christ is transcendent; it’s a life without limits; a life of boundless expression of God’s glory, where nothing can successfully stop you, not even the devil and his cohorts. And where a believer functions fully in this consciousness, just like Jesus, even natural laws can be violated.  According to Romans 6:5-7, we received a newness of life at salvation and should live daily exhibiting that quality of life we now possess. Being that we are partakers of the Christ-life, we’re lights in the world and nothing can successfully put us down. John 1:4 says, “In him (Christ) was life; and the life was the light of men”; we have that life now and with it comes the light unto men. We have taken the master’s place as lights in the world. Praise the Lord!!!
