“That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith” – Galatians 3:14
LIGHT FOR NOW: The Holy Spirit is the power of God.
Romans 8: 10 says, “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness”. In the verse above, Apostle Paul wasn’t questioning whether Christ was in the brethren in Rome; rather, he stirred their minds to an important reality. He wanted them to know that Christ in them was a vital reality, and a guarantee of a life of health and vitality. He said if Christ is in you, by His spirit, though your body may be weak and sickly, He’ll vitalize it. So the Holy Spirit is the power of God; His presence in you is God at work in you. His life in you makes you unconquerable; and the assurance to live perpetually in divine health. The believer at salvation received the Spirit of the son. “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the spirit of his son into our hearts, crying Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6). And when the Apostle Paul said, “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations but now is made manifest to his saints. To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:26-27); what he meant was the indwelling of the Spirit in the believer. The Spirit of Christ in the believer is the mystery that was hid from ages and from generations; this was emphatically taught throughout the epistles, thus establishing it as an important fact that the believer ought to know and be acquainted with. Every Christian ought to have the consciousness of the indwelled Spirit in him; it’s a consciousness that will cause you to live supernaturally every day. It’s a consciousness that regardless of circumstances, you will always prevail. You stay on top notwithstanding seeming and prevailing barriers.
Understanding the ministry of the Holy Spirit in you and walking in the consciousness of His ever abiding presence will take away fear and confusion in your life. It is what makes you invincible, indomitable, unstoppable, disease and infirmity free; you cannot think or feel limited in anywhere because you know that the Spirit of God in you is everything. Jesus speaking said, “And I will pray the Father. And he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever” (John 14:16). And in verse 26 of the same chapter, Jesus explained that the one He called “another comforter” is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is “ALLOS – PARAKLETORS”, that is, another comforter of the same kind. He is the comforter that comforts us in this world that’s full of opposition and persecution that we face as believers. Hallelujah!
