PREACH THE GOSPEL DELIBERATELY (8)

“There they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them”

 Acts 8:4-5.

LIGHT FOR NOW: preaching the gospel is the only tool that deals with the eternity of men.

As you’ve already known, it’s your responsibility as a believer to preach the gospel to get men saved. God’s earnest desire is to have all men saved hence He in Christ paid the price to make that possible.  “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our saviour; who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the Knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2: 3-4). God’s desire is that no one perishes and preaching the gospel is the only tool that deals with the eternity of men. Very important is the fact that no one is left out as all men are loved; every believer also is given the mandate to go with the gospel. Coming along with our salvation is the great commission; so we are the ones who have been sent to preach.  “But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our saviour” (Titus 1:3). Thus as the sent, we are all told to go and proclaim the gospel to everyone, we are to evangelize publicly on the streets, in the buses, and from house to house. Evangelism is done with the simplicity of words, which is the fact of what Christ has done in His vicarious, redemptive death. Evangelism should be done in any place you find sin and iniquity; it should be done in any place where you find oppression of darkness and sickness; it should be done where there is the ignorance of the gospel. So we ought to intentionally preach to get men saved on the first contact with them; that’s what Apostle Paul did at Ephesus (Acts 19: 1-5).

Being that you’ve been born again into a new family – the family of God, you were actually born into a responsibility – to preach the gospel. Jesus’ victory is that he defeated death by death, and today, believers are the proof of that victory. However, there’s a responsibility that comes with this victory in Christ, and it is to make known the savour of the message; His knowledge should manifest everywhere by us preaching the gospel.  *”Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the Savour of his knowledge by us in every place”* (2 Corinthians 2:14). God’s earnest desire is that every member of His household be fully involved in preaching, getting men saved and subsequently disciple them to maturity. The Father has determined that souls be won into His kingdom daily and He left that responsibility with us, to locate the sinners around us and do the needful. It was this understanding that made Apostle Paul to say in his epistle, “…for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:16). Soul winning is not a calling for some but a responsibility of every believer; this is because a soul is worth more than all the wealth of the world put together. You don’t need to have any vision to be a soul winner. We have the ministry of reconciliation as a responsibility and we have the word of reconciliation to go with. Be involved.

INSTRUCTION: Be involved!!

PRAYER: I declare that the light of your word comes clear to me like never before, in Jesus Name, Amen.

QUOTE: you do not need any vision go be a soul winner.
