“When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjonai for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father which is in heaven” Matthew 16:13-17
LIGHT FOR NOW: The believer in Christ is known in Christ in the word.
It’s been established in our previous studies that the revelation of Christ unveils the believer. In other words, the believer in knowing Christ in the written word knows himself in the written word. Recall, the only material available to the believer for the revelation of his identity is the bible. This is why the bible remains our only article of faith. Thus, not knowing the written word will rob you of your realities and when you are ignorant of your realities then you can’t live out or walk or give full expression to your realities. Recall, Jesus was not known by experience but by revelation and that revelation is what unveiled the believer. In essence, same way Jesus is not known by experience, the believer is not also known by experience. Experiences don’t have what it takes to unveil the believer because the believer is not a product of revelation. Same way you don’t know Christ by human experience, you can’t know the believer by human experience. Therefore, the word of God remains the only material that reveals the man in Christ to the man in Christ. Outside the conduit of the word, you cannot know yourself as a believer; if Jesus’ revelation is within the conduit of the word, how then can the revelation of the believer in Him be outside the conduit of the word? Experiences can’t define you; experiences can’t reveal you because even experiences were limited where the revelation of Christ was concerned. You are known in Christ; you are understood in Christ; you are revealed and unveiled in Christ; your realities are in Christ; your abilities and capabilities are in Christ; in Christ, you know what you capable of doing; in Christ is your realities revealed in its totality. Therefore, stay with the written word within which Christ is revealed and you are unveiled in the same. Don’t be empty of the word, be full of it; know the written word and see yourself walk in the realities of your personality like never before. Hallelujah!!!
INSTRUCTION: Be full of God’s word.
PRAYER: I declare that I am word-driven like never before. I am full of your word in Jesus Name. Amen.
QUOTE: The revelation of Jesus you have is equivalent to the revelation of yourself you have as a believer.
