“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them” Hebrews 7:25
LIGHT FOR NOW: The salvation Christ brought for us is assuredly complete, perfect and unto the end of the world.
Today’s key text is one of the greatest, most assuring, and faith building scriptures to one who believes in Christ Jesus. It is a great force that helps the believers to stand firm, without wavering. It makes us know that Jesus Christ is able to save those who come to God through him unto the end. The word, ‘uttermost’ is gotten from the Greek Word, ‘Panteles’ or “Telos” which means ‘eternally’, ‘perfect’, ‘until the end’. The writer of Hebrews is telling us that the salvation that Christ brought to us is assuredly complete, perfect and unto the end of the world. It is forever and eternal. To come to God through Christ is to receive and believe in the gospel of His salvation built on His finished work, and to be sealed with the Holy Spirit as His purchased possession. Ephesians chapter 1 verses 13 and 14 says, “in whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with the holy spirit of promise; which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory”
Jesus cannot save you and abandon you halfway. He will keep you to the end. Christ’s work is not only to save us; He also has a duty to keep us saved! He says in John 10:27-30. “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my father’s hand. I and my father are one”. Jesus understood the risk and implications of making the above promises and He has the ability to keep them. You are eternally saved in Christ. Nothing can pluck you out of His hands. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Therefore, go ahead and enjoy your benefits in salvation. You have been eternally saved! Praise the Lord!!!
INSTRUCTION: You have been eternally saved. Enjoy your benefits in salvation.
PRAYER: Lord, it is settled in my Spirit that you have the ability to keep me saved and safe, in Jesus Name.
QUOTE: Think on the Word and not for the Word.
