“Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began” – Romans 16:25
LIGHT FOR NOW: Until Christ is revealed, the believer in Him cannot be unveiled.
Our establishment is in the revelation of Christ. Until Christ is revealed, the believer in Him cannot be unveiled and established. If Jesus is not revealed, the believer cannot access what is in Christ. By Christ and in Christ, we have access and rights to all of God’s promises. The Gospel is the Grace of God and we have become partakers thereof through faith. The Grace of God is the person of Christ.
Redemption is to satisfy the claims of justice against a man. The claims of justice have been satisfied in Christ. Whatever punishment that would have come upon an unsaved man, the believer in Christ Jesus has been exempted from it. Bear in mind that God is a Righteous Judge. He cannot punish a man twice for the same offence. Jesus bore our sins and paid the penalty for sin. Justice demanded that a man should pay for his sins. Jesus became sin for us. He knew no sin. He was not a sinner. He was made sin so that He could become the price for sin. The wrath of sin was satisfied in Christ. Therefore, a believer in Christ has been exempted from the wrath of sin. There is no record of sin for a believer in Christ Jesus. As the High Priest, Jesus substituted Himself for us. Apostle Paul explains the substitutionary work of Christ. In 2 Corinthians 5 verse 21, he says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him”.
At new birth, a new class of people have been brought forth; a people without any record of sin, born of the Spirit of God. 1 Peter 1:23 confirms this. It reads, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abidteth forever”. The Holy Spirit is the confirmation of the new birth. God’s Word is strong enough to reproduce a new class of people. And He did! Praise the Lord.
