LIGHT FOR NOW: In Christ, we are free from the vicissitudes of life.
The believer in Christ is a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of Christ; an inheritance that is bigger than this world. A believer in Christ is not of this world. One cannot live in the world and conquer the world. A believer is in Christ. Christ is his new world. He lives in the city or environment called Christ and controls the affairs of the world. In Christ, there is no inflation, recession, poverty or lack. In Christ, we live and walk in superabundance. In Christ, there is no virus. No matter the virus or sickness ravaging the world, a believer in Christ is saved from the ills afflicting the world. In Christ, the price of crude oil does not affect the standard of living. In Christ, we are free from the vicissitudes of life. The socio-economic situation in the world today may have left many terrified and hopeless. But, as a believer in Christ, you must think and see things differently. This is because you are not of this economy. You are not of this world. You are in Christ. You operate from a higher realm. A realm that is greater than inflation, sicknesses and diseases. You are bigger than the economy of this world.
The Bible says, “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21-22). The world is yours and everything in it. Therefore, you must think and function differently. When men are cast down, you must say there is a lifting up (Job 22:29). This is the reality about you because you are the seed of Abraham. Your success, progress, good health and prosperity are guaranteed even in the midst of turbulent times. Therefore, let your mind soar beyond the happenings in the world. Have the mentality of an overcomer. Choose to see things from God’s eternal perspective and continuously live in the consciousness that you are from above; in Christ, a child of the Kingdom bigger than the ugly situations of this world. You are not of this world, but of the Kingdom!
INSTRUCTION: Live in the consciousness that you are in Christ and not of this world.
PRAYER: Lord, I take possession of all that pertains to life and godliness as a joint-heir with Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen.
