‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God’. – Romans 8:14
LIGHT FOR NOW:In the physical realm, you are traced to your family, but in the New Covenant, you are of God.
The incarnation of Christ was the first time God appeared in the form of a man. He did this in order to take the sin of man. Paul speaking in 2 Corinthians 5:21 says ‘For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him’. Jesus Christ in the flesh was limited. He exhibited the characteristics of man: He slept, he was hungry, and His earthly parents were known. The 4-Gespel records the genealogy of the incarnated Christ. However, the reality is that Jesus was not of the earthly realm (John 3:13).
You are of God if you believe in the redemption by Jesus Christ – this is the genealogy of every believer (John 3:14-15). These ones are born again through belief in Christ! In the physical realm, you are traced to your family, but in the New Covenant, you are of God. 1 John 4:4 [NLT] says ‘You, dear children are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world’. This is an assurance of your victory. To be victorious, you must belong to God. Don’t accept defeat. You are God; don’t act like a dog. Spirit begets spirit (John 3:6). You are God’s co-creator. Be confident that you can have anything you desire. With God, nothing is impossible!
He bought you with a price. Christ reconciled you to God, and you are at peace with God. ‘Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God’ (Romans 5:1-2). He has welcome you to His family. Walk with your head lifted. Forget about the mistakes you made in the past. You can gain your lost grounds! The Spirit of God quickens your mortal bodies and you are led by the Spirit of God (Roman 8:11,14).
INSTRUCTION: Walk in the newness of life in Christ Jesus.
PRAYER: Lord, I enforce my redemption, in Jesus name.
QUOTE: You are God; don’t act like a dog.
