OUR VICTORY IS IN CHRIST (1)

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place – 2 Corinthians 2:14

LIGHT FOR NOW: As believers, we are the trophy of Christ’s victory.

As believers in Christ, we are a demonstration of Christ’s triumph. This is to say that we are the evidence of his victory. We are the trophy of his ministry and the glory that followed his suffering. The phrase, ‘triumph in Christ’ refers to the trophy of victory or proof of victory over battles or a match, competition or contest. So as believers, we are the trophy of Christ’s victory. We are the savour or the aroma or the fragrance of his victory. Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 2:14-15 says, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish”.

It means therefore that the believer in Christ is not the person trying to triumph or to overcome in life and destiny. He is not the one trying to get victory over the battles of life. The believer in Christ is more than a conqueror. To be more than a conqueror means that you did not have to fight the battle. Someone else fought the battle on your behalf and handed over the victory to you. You are not looking for victory; you already have victory because you are victory personified. You are not trying to overcome; you are already an overcomer because the Greater One lives inside of you. You are not looking for victory but you are already walking in victory. When you walk in victory, you are already demonstrating the victory that Christ has obtained for you. Yes, the price for your victory has already been paid. Therefore, walk in constant victory.

INSTRUCTION: Keep walking in victory.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for the victory of your Son Jesus Christ. By His victory, I obtain my eternal victory, in Jesus Name.  Amen.

QUOTE: Your victory in Christ is always.
