“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of the brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night” – Revelation 12:10
LIGHT FOR NOW: Let your mind rest on what Christ has done.
The word, ‘accuser’ is from the Greek word, ‘diabolos’ which is the name given to the devil. An accuser is one who is diabolic, slanderous, bringing charges for the purpose of bringing down or destroying another person; someone who opposes God’s purposes. The devil is more committed in this end of days to make sure our salvation has no meaning to us. The devil wants to affect our salvation. The devil is out to use people we so much believe in to affect our faith. This is why God wants us to be in charge of our lives. Until you understand your salvation, every other thing remains abstract. Therefore, let your mind rest on what Christ has done. The aim of all accusation is to bring condemnation. Your freedom in Christ will be tampered with if you do not have the full knowledge of what Christ has done for you. As a believer in Christ Jesus, you must understand that Satan will never leave you alone. We are in a constant fight of faith but the good news is that we are more than conquerors.
God and Satan want to sit on your mind at the same time and control it. This is the battle we face daily. It takes a renewed mind to remove Satan and enthrone God in your mind. Satan will always come with pictures of circumstances and the moment you accept those pictures and become despondent or sad, he successfully captures your mind. While Satan will always come with pictures, God comes with evidence of what He has already done for you in Christ. You can only overcome the accuser when you have Christ. The overcoming point is Christ (Revelation 12:11). You must therefore hold fast the testimony of your faith in what Christ has done for you in order to overcome the accuser.
INSTRUCTION: Hold fast the word of your testimony.
PRAYER: Lord, I overcome all evil accusation by the knowledge of my salvation, in Jesus Name. Amen.
QUOTE: Satan has been disarmed. Quit giving him weaponry.
