WE ARE COMPLETE IN CHRIST

“And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power” – Colossians 2:20

LIGHT FOR NOW: You are the temple of the living God; He lives and walks in you.

As a born again believer in Christ, when you received the Holy Spirit, you received the Fullness of God. There is nothing of God that is supposed to be in you that is not already in you. This makes you unconquerable. You are not a mere man. Your humanity was supplanted by the very life and nature of God. As a believer in Christ, you have advantage over the prophets in the Old Testament because you have what they never had; the capacity to house the Holy spirit. You are God’s living tabernacle; when you move, that is the spirit of God moving in you. Your hands have become His hands and your fingers, His fingers. You have become immersed in Him and He dwells in you. God sees through your eyes, talks through your mouth and moves with your body. God touches lives and impacts the world through you. There is nothing lacking in a born again man. You are complete and perfected in Him.

The Bible says in John 1:16; “Of his fullness have all we received and grace for grace”. As a believer in Christ, you have received in all fullness, everything that’s of deity in Christ. This is not just in measure, but also in the quantity of life available in him. You have received whatever that makes God to be God. You have all of His glory, might, strength and wisdom. You represent everything that God represents. You have been made an associate of the God- kind. No wonder Apostle John in 1John 4:17 says, “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world”. Glory!

INSTRUCTION: Be conscious that you are complete in Christ

CONFESSION: Lord, I thank you for making me a carrier and dispenser of your glory, wisdom and might in Jesus name, Amen…

QUOTE: You have been made an associate of the Godkind.

THERE IS POWER IN YOUR WORDS

“Through faith we understand that the world was framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” – Hebrews 11:3

LIGHT FOR NOW: We are to speak the word, God brings it into fulfillment.

Through faith, we understand that everything came into being by the word of God. To understand this is to have the express knowledge of the realm from which you operate. The world was framed by words (John 1:1). Everything that was made was made by words (Genesis 1:26). Every action taken is an expression of the word. Words are the media of expression of what is conceived in the heart. For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. And the word is in your mouth. In jurisprudence, words are used to pass judgment. Recall that, after creation, God did not give names to animals and vegetations. Rather, He empowered Adam to do so and whatever name Adam called is what they answer till today (Genesis 2:19). Our faith can only be professed through words (Genesis 3:15). Words have a creative force. Man would not embrace faith if they were not spoken by Christ Himself and the prophets. We only know because knowledge was declared and communicated to us through the use of words (1 John 5:20). We are products of the word. We are born again by the Word of God (1 Peter 1:23). The word of God is the Word of everlasting life. We believe that we are the righteousness of God because it was spoken and written down for our edification

INSTRUCTION: Speak the word. It is in your mouth

DECLARATION: Father, help me speak positive words into my life, in Jesus name. Amen

QUOTE: Words have creative force.

MADE ALIVE IN CHRIST

“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins” – Ephesians 2:1

LIGHT FOR NOW: The love of God is evidenced in Christ dying for us even when we are of no use to God.

The word, “quickened” in our text for today means “made alive”. “AND YOU (He made alive), when you were dead (slain) by {your} trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1 AMP). This is a consciousness God wants us to have as His children. We have been made alive in Christ; the life of Christ is at work in your system. Every fibre of your being is inundated with the divine life and energy of God. Therefore, you are unconquerable and indestructible. Consider that Jesus Christ, the son of God in truth, gave Himself for you on the cross and died as your savior, and that God raised Him from the dead to give you a new life. That life isn’t subject at all to defeat, failure or death. Hear what John 1:14 says about Him: “And the word was made flesh, and dwelt amongst us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth”. In John 10:10, He emphasized that He came so that we might have life – His divine life – to the fullest. He couldn’t have done all these things for nothing.

Therefore, as a Christian, you must live your life to show that what Jesus did was not for nothing: live up to His dream! Jesus the creator of the whole world, the maker of all things died for you, to give you a new life which is the impregnable life of God. This is something big and glorious. He brought us valuable and important to the Father. Therefore, you are not permitted to live and empty and unhappy life. The only way to show your gratitude for all He’s done for you us to live up to His standards, by maintaining your superiority and victory over Satan and his cohorts of darkness. You are the express image of His person, called to show forth the beauty and excellence of His divine life in you. Glory!

INSTRUCTION: Believe in the finished work of Christ

CONFESSION: Father, thank you for sending Jesus to die in my stead as a demonstration of your love for me, in Jesus name, Amen.

QUOTE: When you show up, Jesus shows up.

THERE IS NO MORE CONDEMNATION!

“There is therefore now no more condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit” – Romans 8:1

LIGHT FOR NOW: Once you arrive in Christ, you have escaped judgment

The word ‘ condemnation ‘ is a legal term used for passing verdict. The same word is also used for damnation. The word “condemnation” is actually a judgment and it is a sentence to serve the required punishment as written in the law. Once you arrive in Christ, you have escaped the white throne judgment. It is only your services to God here on earth that will be tried, and rewards given accordingly. Jesus went to Hell on our behalf in order to redeem is from it. He was judged, discharged and acquitted on our behalf. Romans 5:17-18 says “For if by one man’s offence, death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life”. Until you understand the word of God about salvation, you would not think in the direction of God. By Adam’s disobedience, sin came into the world and by the obedience of Christ; righteousness came to all that believe in Christ. It is the righteousness of Christ that frees men from sin and condemnation. Righteousness is a state of being right or being treated as someone who has never committed any sin. If that is how God sees us and relates with us, we must stop acting as criminals. He didn’t save us to leave us. Righteousness is not an act but a gift. It was not given to us because we stopped doing wrong things. Once you discover God’s system, your life will be right. The gospel brings the gift of no condemnation into our life. That is the good news. Hallelujah!

INSTRUCTION: Stay in the liberty that Christ has given you.

CONFESSION: Lord, I am free from any condemnation, in Jesus name.

QUOTE: Once you discover God’s system, your life will be right.

DEMONSTRATING THE LOVE OF GOD 2

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” – John 3:16

LIGHT FOR NOW: The love of God to man is expressed in the gift of Christ.

The love of God to Man us expressed in the gift of Christ. Many people claim to love but do not have the ability to prove their love. Men love because of what they stand to benefit, others love those who have already shown them kindness. Oh, how conditional is the love of man! Unfortunately, when the desire is not met, disappointment sets in. In contrast, the love of God is unconditional. That is why He sent Jesus to die for us in order to make us alive in Him. Christ was made sin, so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). According to Romans 5:8 (NLT), God sent His great love for us so that while we were yet condemned sinners, Christ died for us. God loves us the way we are. He used His own love to destroy your sin (Romans 3:10-11). We did not love him, yet God loved us by covering us with His love. Jesus Christ says that whosoever believes and trusts in his love shall not perish but have eternal life. You just have to believe in His love. In his love, there is life, wealth, riches, healing and perfection (Isaiah 53:3-5). So, everything you need in this life and here after is found in His love. You should wisely believe in that love. Salvation is a total package – In him, you have peace, love, joy. Men only love when there are to gain respect. Once a woman receives care, she feels loved. To Men, when there receive respect, they feel loved. Once they’re deprived from them, they no longer feel loved.

However, the scriptures do not define respect this way. If Men had love, the scriptures would not have deliberately instructed them to love their wives. Agape is the extravagant love that God pours on Man. In this love, your color, height, nationality, educational background, social and economic backgrounds do not matter. The only standard for this love is Christ crucified and Christ resurrected. If you can have the love of God, then you have everything. It is not your love that counts; it is God’s love that matters

INSTRUCTION: You are under a command to believe in the love of God

CONFESSION: Lord, I believe in your love. By this knowledge, I stand justified in you, in Jesus Name, Amen

QUOTE: It is not your love that counts; it is the love of God that counts.

DEMONSTRATING THE LOVE OF GOD

“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” – Romans 5:5

LIGHT FOR NOW: Divine love is not something to be prayed for; it is a feature of your recreated human spirit.

Christianity is all about the demonstration of the divine love. 1 John 4:8 says, “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love”. God is love personified. He demonstrated His love towards us in that He gave Christ to die for us while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8). When you are born again, you become born of God. Therefore, if God who is love by nature gave birth to you, then you are a child of love and love personified. Divine love is not something to be prayed for; it is a feature of your recreated human spirit. Galatians 5:22 says, “But the fruit of the spirit is love”. What is therefore expected of you as a born again child of God is to demonstrate the love that is stored up in your heart, and be a blessing to your world. Be an oasis of love in a troubled world. Jesus, in John 14:15 say, “If ye love me; keep my commandments”. An example of His commandment is that we go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). You will be demonstrating the love of God to your world when you reach out to others with the gospel of Christ. 2Corinthians 5:14 says, “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:” We are propelled by His love to preach the Gospel, just as He was propelled by love to take the place of sinful men on the cross. He was the expression and communication of the love of God.

INSTRUCTION: Share the love of God to others.

DECLARATION: Lord, thank you for loving me and taking my place on the cross, in Jesus Name, Amen.

QUOTE: God is love personified.
