“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” – Galatians 2:20
LIGHT FOR NOW: God has taken care of the backend! What you get from your salvation is up to you.
Salvation is not just to take you to heaven. If that was the case, you would have died and gone to heaven the very moments you became born again. Salvation is to make you get to heaven and also live victoriously on earth. The degree of your victorious living here on earth is up to you. Salvation is a total package. God gave us salvation as a gift and He has put everything we need (health, wealth, victory, faith, dominion, power, grace, etc) in one package – salvation. Christ died and gave us the privilege to enjoy eternal life in Him. A man who is in Christ Jesus is a carrier of God. A man who is in Christ Jesus received victory over every ill situation in his life the very moment he received Christ. It is your reliance on the Holy Spirit that gives you power to make use of everything made available to you through salvation. The extent to which you maximize your brand new life is up to you. God has done his best for you, what you get out of it depends on you. You cannot be saved and be in shame also.
The benefit of salvation is for you to profit in all your endeavours. Believing in Christ is not a punishment but a push to a better future. Your ashes were taken away; your frustrations were paid for. Sin was also flushed out of the world. Therefore, you don’t need to be conscious of sin any longer because you are no more under the bondage of sin. The bible says, “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lust thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace” (Romans 6:12-14). You just need to be conscious of righteousness because you are what you are conscious of.
INSTRUCTION: You have an advantaged life in Christ Jesus, use it.
CONFESSION: Father, I thank you for reminding me of the free gift of salvation you gave to me in Christ Jesus.
QUOTE: In salvation, there is no lack of any good thing just as in the ocean there is no lack of water.
