LIGHT FOR NOW: The moment you become born again, you become a new man without a past.
The death, burial and resurrection of Christ was to bring justification to man. When you believe that He died for you and that God raised Him back to life, and have confessed His Lordship over your life, you receive eternal life. Immediately, righteousness is imparted to your spirit and you are born again. You immediately become a new man without a past. The bible records that Christ was delivered up on account of our transgressions, but was raised for our justification (Romans 4:25). Romans 5:1 says that we have been justified and have peace with God. To be justified is to be discharged and acquitted. It means not to be charged with sin and declared righteous. This is who a new man is. He is a man without any past records of sin, a man who never existed before. This is because all things have become new.
Christianity is not too complex. All that is required is that you accept what the word says as the truth to live by, and your struggles will be over. The struggle to do right ends immediately you accept all that Christ has done for you. Suddenly, you become awakened to your spiritual realm which is the reality of your new life in Christ. This is an amazing life. You must believe that you are a new creation in Christ Jesus with no past records of sins. Believe that you have been justified, discharged and acquitted and that you are now the righteousness of God in Christ. Therefore, you have to live your life in Him through faith. Glory!
