LIGHT FOR NOW: Christ is our new world.
A very important and vital truth every believer must acknowledge and comprehend is the fact that though the believer is in the world, he is not of this world, then you will not let this world define you. The world doesn’t know you; hence the world cannot define you. Though you are in the world, you are not of this world. The new creature is not of this world’s make up, he is in Christ; Christ is his world. Hence, the definition of the new creature and the reality of the new creature cannot be known by the world, but known in Christ. In Christ, we see who we truly are; meaning that a definition of you outside of Christ is a wrong definition of impression of you. Christ is your environment; he is your dwelling place. Never take any definition of you outside Christ; you are not who the world says you are, you are who Christ says you are as revealed in scriptures.
An understanding of who Christ is revealed in the scripture is an understanding of who you are revealed in the scriptures; meaning you are only going to know yourself by knowing Christ through the written word of God. Your identity in Christ will only be unveiled when the word of God is revealed to you. So if you want to know who you are in Christ, don’t go to a psychologist or philosopher to unveil that to you. Science does not have the capacity to know you, not even to unveil you. The man in Christ is higher than the world; the man in Christ does not go to the world to know who he is, he goes to the word to know who he is because he is born of the word. If there’s anything you need to go for, it is knowledge; the knowledge of your identity in Christ. You need to know your authority in Christ. Paul in Ephesians 1:19-22 explains further on the believer’s authority. From this text, it can be deduced that the power that was wrought in Christ was wrought in the new creature; power that only functions effectively through the knowledge of God’s word and one’s identity in Christ.
INSTRUCTION: Know who you are.
DECLARATION: I am the new creature, and I am in authority because I am not of this world; therefore, I grow in the knowledge of God’s word even as I consciously live out my realities, in Jesus Name, Amen.
