“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved); And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” – Ephesians 2:5-6.
LIGHT FOR NOW: Our identification with Christ made what belongs to Christ ours.
The authority of the believer is consequent upon the resurrection of Jesus. The resurrection of Jesus became the resurrection of the believer by his identification. Hence, whatever is found in that resurrection becomes ours by our identification with that resurrection. That’s why the believer’s authority is a fact of our identification with Christ. Our identification with Christ made His authority our authority; His power became our power; what He can do, we can do; what cannot stop Him cannot stop us. We don’t have a power failure problem. The believer does not have a power problem; all of God’s power resides in the believer.
When you got born again, all of God’s power dwelt in you. You will never be more powerful in Christ tomorrow than the day you got born again. God will not give you more power, because God has given you all of His power at salvation. God will not increase His power inside you because His power did not come in installments; His power did not come in measure. When you got born again, all of God’s totality came on your inside; His power is your power; His authority is your authority. You just haven’t discovered this by knowledge, which is why you are praying for more power. There is no more power for God to give you. Paul in Ephesians 1:17-23 made it clear that the power that was wrought in Christ was wrought in the believer. The believer is the power house of God. Instead of praying for more power, pray to understand by knowledge the power that is already inside you. Glory!
