“And on that cross, Christ freed himself from the power of the spiritual rulers and authorities; he made a public spectacle of them by leading them as captives in his victory procession” – Colossians 2:15 GNT
LIGHT FOR NOW: Just as Christ conquered Satan, you too can conquer Satan.
Christ’s conquest over Satan was the greatest event of eternity. The eternal son was justified, made alive in the spirit, and put off from Him the principalities and powers, making a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. He triumphed over Satan; Jesus conquered the host of hell. He stripped Satan of his sham authority. You were with Him when the battle took place. You were identified with Him; just as you were identified with Him when he was crucified, when He died, when He was buried, when He was made alive, when He was justified, you were with Him in that victory over the adversary. It was your victory not his; he did not need to fight that battle, He did it for you. When He conquered Satan and stripped him of his sham authority, in the mind of the Father, it was as though you had done it. You are Satan’s master today in Jesus, just as Jesus was when He rose from the dead. Just as Jesus conquered Satan, you too have conquered him in Christ Jesus today. It means you have mastery over all the works of the devil. Therefore, you are to do the works that Jesus began. It was the end of defeat and failure and the beginning of a new era. It is time to appreciate the deeds of Christ for us and what it means to identify or be a member of the body of Christ. It is time to appreciate the position in which He had placed us and the authority He has given us in His name. Jesus defeated Satan and made us righteous victors. By that defeat, He made us kings to reign in the realm of life where Satan no longer lords over us and diseases are under our feet. We are the new creation, the sons of God and all things are ours (1Corinthians 3:21). You do not need to have faith for the things that are yours to be given to you. All you need to do is to keep thanking Him as you step out and enjoy the fullness of this marvelous redemption. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: Keep enjoying the victory you have been given.
CONFESSION: Lord, thank you for the victory you have granted me, in Jesus Name. Amen.
QUOTE: You do not need to have faith for the things that are yours to be given to you.
