“And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” – 2Timothy 3:15-16

LIGHT FOR NOW: God can only reach us through Christ.

The good thing in you in Christ is salvation. When you understand the subject of salvation, you command results in your daily Christian walk. This means that God wants every believer to be result-oriented (1John 5:4). Salvation is a total package. God can only reach us through Christ; Jesus is the bridge that connects us with God. Romans 5:1 say, “Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”. Your identity is in your salvation. In salvation, you were redeemed a king and a priest (Revelation 5:10). The knowledge you have about the good thing that is in you determines the exploits you make in life here on earth. God expects us to make constant progress in our daily Christian walk. Salvation is through faith in Christ. Your growth in spiritual things begins when you have understanding of your salvation. Salvation is the subject and main matter of the scripture. The subject matter of salvation is centered on the person of Jesus. Scripture gives evidence about our salvation in Christ (2Timothy 3:16-17). The scriptures are a testimony of Christ. John 5:39 says, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me”. Every doctrine, teaching, belief and opinion on the subject of salvation must have their basis from the truth revealed in the scriptures. Believers in Christ are therefore not expected to live their lives on assumptions, feelings nor hearsay, but on the precise and accurate knowledge of Christ. The believer shouldn’t be found drawing conclusions based on assumptions, no! Accurate knowledge of God’s word is a must for you as a believer. This is the only way upon which you can effectively harness your salvation and live in the fullness of the price that Jesus paid for. Glory!
