“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.” – Isaiah 60:1-5

LIGHT FOR NOW: Your union or amalgamation in Christ was the infusion of God’s glory into your inside.

The believer in Christ is not one looking for the glory of God but one who is the glory of God. Hence, we don’t go to God in prayers seeking and asking for his glory; we are God’s glory, you are God’s glory. From the B part of Isaiah 60:1, and Isaiah 46:13 with Isaiah 43:7, it is thus clear that we are God’s glory. The born again man is thus God’s glory. God’s glory therefore, is not in things but in men. A car is not God’s glory, a house is not God’s glory, and a phone is not God’s glory. However, having any of them is good but that is not God’s glory. God’s glory is in men; the man in Christ. In John chapter 17, we will have Jesus’ words so clear that we are God’s glory. Let’s observe John 17:5, 22-23, it reads “And now O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me”.

Jesus said that he gave to us his glory. He explains that glory as He in us and us in Him. In other words, by reason of becoming the habitation of God; God’s temple and residence, we are God’s glory. The fact that Christ lives in us reveals we are God’s glory. Paul in Colossians 1:27 says “Christ in us the hope of glory”. We are thus God’s glory. Our union with Christ infused his glory into us. Paul in Romans 8:29-30 echoes in like manner, “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, who he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified”. So we are called justified and we are called glorified. We are the walking glory of God. Hallelujah!

INSTRUCTION: Give voice to God’s word in your words.

CONFESSION: I affirm that in Christ, I have been called, justified and glorified. My union with Christ infused his glory into me. I am now God’s glory.

QUOTE: Experiences don’t define the truth of God’s word; the truth of God’s word is static regardless of experiences.
