LIGHT FOR NOW: In Christ, the Spirit of God abides in us.
It’s for real that God brought us to His level by bringing us into a union with Himself. We’re His offspring, we have His very kind of life in us. “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world”(1John 4:4). So by our nature, we’re made winners and victors, blessed, fortified and shielded from all sorts of harm and destruction. Job chapter 1 verse 10 says, “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the works of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land”. Hence, the Bible says, “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee” (Psalm 91:7).
In Christ, the Spirit of God abides in us “Even the spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 16:17. This became a reality at Jesus’ resurrection. That divine nature of the Holy Spirit is what shields and forms a hedge around you against harsh conditions and negative circumstance of life. No matter what happens in your environment, nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:9) In his epistle to the Ephesians, Paul said, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” (Ephesians 6:10). To his son Timothy he also said, “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also”(2 Timothy 2:1-2). So it’s what you have to do for yourself. You should understand what that grace has brought to you and take advantage of it. Take advantage of His grace and keep defending the Gospel. To be endowed with God’s grace means that God has given to you all that He has. And you can’t take advantage of His grace until you know what His grace has done for you, given to you, and made you.
