“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” – John 14:1-3
LIGHT FOR NOW: The believer is the son of God.
The believer being a son of God is a spiritual reality. The believer being in the family of God is a spiritual reality. Paul explains these realities to the church at Ephesus,
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly in Christ.” So the reality of everything that Jesus has done is in the spirit; that is why Paul says spiritual blessings, and he explains in context (Ephesians 1:1-13) which includes: ● Chosen in Him (verse 4) ● Holy and without blame before Him (verse 4), etc. Observe verse 13 of Ephesians 1, “In whom ye alsotrusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy spirit of promise”. The phrase “you were sealed” implies to sign off on, to stamp, seal up. It was used in ancient Greek as a proof of ownership. This means that when “sphragizo” (the Greek for “you were sealed”) is used, it is to proof ownership of one’s handiwork.
In other words, the Holy Spirit is the signature of everything God has done for us in Christ. Hence, Paul explained in chapter two of the same letter; “For we are His workmanship created in Christ…” (Ephesians 2:10). Hence, allthat God did for us in Christ is found in the spirit. Who then is the believer? The believer is the temple of God. The believer is God’s son.
The believer houses God. The spirit of God dwells in the believer. You have been sealed in the Holy Ghost; the permanent residence of the Father. You are the residential address of deity. Deity dwells in your humanity; immortality resides in your mortality. You are the address of God. You are not going to be made a living sanctuary; God is not going to prepare you a sanctuary, you are the sanctuary.
The tabernacle of the Father is you; the dwelling place of the Father is you. You are the realityity of the Father’s dwelling. You are God’s own house. You are now His Son!! Hallelujah!
INSTRUCTION: You are sealed with the Holy Ghost; acknowledge this!
PRAYER: I am found in Christ; sealed by the Holy Ghost and I am a living and moving temple of God, in Jesus Name, Amen.
QUOTE: The believer is God’s house. DAILY
