EXPLAINING THE DOCTRINE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (7)

“But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference”- Romans 3:21

LIGHT FOR NOW: The greatest miracle happens when a man believes the Gospel.

The righteousness of God is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe. It is for “ALL WHO BELIEVE” in the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. There’s no difference, no extra qualification to obtain it. If the believer is conscious of his righteousness, his identification with Christ, and his oneness with the Father, just as he’s conscious of his physical environment, he will never struggle in his Christian life. Just as we readily agree with our physical environment, we are also supposed to agree with the present hour reality of our status of righteousness in Christ. Being rooted and permanently established and growing in the consciousness of who we are in Christ is what utterly destroys the sense of unworthiness that keeps most believers down. In fact, when you know and fully endorse the fact that righteousness is your new nature, it will then be easy to express it in words and actions. When the consciousness of it keeps growing in your heart, it will cause you to prevail over circumstances as they come. The result would be that you will be bold and courageous. The scripture says that the wicked flee when no man pursueth; but the righteous are bold as a lion (Proverbs 18:1). Righteousness and the consciousness of it is what life effortlessly because that is who has been recreated to be and how he is expected to function. “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which received abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17). Also by making you righteous, God is showing Himself righteous “To demonstrate at the present time His righteousness that He might be the just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus” (Romans 3: 26 NASB).

“And not found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith” (Philippians 3:9). Anyone not found in Christ, does not have the righteousness of God. And one can only be found in Him by believing in Him. Believing is the access point into this righteousness – the righteousness of God which is devoid of human efforts. In Christ, we are not in bondage because the righteousness of God having been imparted into our spirit gives us a sense of authority and assurance in the place of prayer because we use the name of Jesus; we act and speak in Jesus’ stead. The limitlessness, eternal and ever abiding nature of this righteousness is what enables us to stand in the Father’s presence without a sense of guilt or condemnation; now we can stand and confront Satan and his cohorts of darkness without fear or inferiority. Romans 10:6 that says, “… the righteousness which is of faith speaketh…” implies that by knowledge, the believer ought to keep declaring openly his righteousness. This keeps us above the crippling influences of this world. Hallelujah!

INSTRUCTION: Believe the gospel.

PRAYER: I affirm that in Christ, I’ve been made the righteousness of God; hence, nothing can molest or frighten me in this world, in Jesus Name, Amen.

QUOTE: The righteousness of God is devoid of human efforts.
