“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are new” – 2Corinthians 5:17
LIGHT FOR NOW: Christ is our new world.
A very important and vital truth every believer must acknowledge and comprehend is the fact that though the believer is in the world, he is not of this world. When you understand that you are not of this world, then you will not let this world define you.
The world doesn’t know you; hence, the world cannot define you. The new creature is not of this world’s makeup, he is in Christ; Christ is his world. The realities of the new creature cannot be known by the world, but known in Christ.
In Christ, we see who we truly are; meaning and definition of you outside of Christ is a wrong definition or impression of you. Christ is your environment; he is your dwelling place. You are not who the world says you are, you are who Christ says you are as revealed in the bible.
An understanding of who Christ is as revealed in the scriptures is an understanding of who you are as revealed in the scriptures; meaning, you are only going to know yourself by knowing Christ through the written word of God.
Any identity of you that is not derived from Christ is a wrong identity of you. Any label of you outside Christ is a misunderstood label; stop going around with a wrong label. You are in Christ; only in Christ can you be revealed. It is the revelation of Christ that unveils who you are to you; it is not psychology that unveils who you are to you. Where the new creature is, psychology, philosophy, etc cannot decode this man.
The new creature is who and what the word says. Stop taking the world’s definition of you and start taking the word’s definition of you. What the word says about you is superior to what the world says about you because the world itself does not know you. How can they define and explain who they cannot comprehend? You are in Christ, look at your realities in Christ and ignore the world’s definition of you. Hallelujah!!!
INSTRUCTION: Ignore any definition of you that is outside Christ. Only in Christ can you be properly known, explained, interpreted and comprehended.
Prayer: I am what the word says I am; I have what the word says I have. I am a new creature, created in the very image and likeness of God my father. I am in him and I fix my eyes on him, in Jesus Name! Amen
QUOTE: I am in Christ and only in Christ can I be revealed.
