“And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” – Ephesians 2:6
LIGHT FOR NOW: Our life is in His resurrection.
When Jesus died, we died with him. When he was buried, we were buried with him. When he resurrected, we were raised up with him. Our life is in his resurrection. We live the resurrected life. The resurrected life is a life of power and glory. To follow the example of Christ is to be molded in the pattern of Christ. It is to be conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29). When Jesus passed through death to enter into his resurrection, his humanity was uplifted in his divinity. Without death, there is no burial and without burial; there is no resurrection. Resurrection is where the power lies. And this is what the gospel is all about. The gospel is not about the birth of Christ. The birth of Christ is not the giving of Christ. There is nothing about the incarnate Christ that can save a man. It is the resurrection of Christ from the dead that saves a man. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation.
Believers in Christ are raised together with Christ and begotten together with Him. Hebrews chapter 2 verses 10 and 11 say, “for it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory; to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren”. We are all his brothers. We constitute His body and become God’s corporate expression in Him. Therefore, the church is not the building. Believers in Christ are the church as we are the corporate expression of God in Him. This is why we are called the Body of Christ because Christ lives in us as the head.
INSTRUCTION: Believe in His resurrection.
PRAYER: Father, I thank you for raising me up together in Christ Jesus and making me a part of the glorious gospel of Christ, In Jesus Name. Amen.
QUOTE:His resurrection is our resurrection.
