“And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak” – Ephesians 6:19-20
LIGHT FOR NOW: The believer is one that has believed in the name of Jesus.
Asides praying for boldness, utterance and for the ministry of our ministers to be received without hindrance, we also ought to pray; that signs and wonders be done through their ministries. Romans 15:19 “Through mighty signs and wonders by the power of the spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ”. Acts 4:30 “By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of the holy child Jesus”. We also pray for our ministers to stay honest and have their conduct pleasing to God. Hebrews 13:18 “Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly”. We pray for them to maintain their integrity in service. 1 Corinthians 16:9 “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries”.
We pray for them because they face opposition in many areas of ministry. Your Pastor needs your prayers. As a shepherd that your Pastor is, if anything evil happens to him, the sheep (members) will be scattered. So we pray!! These days we see a sad reality overwhelming the church world; rather than believers praying for their Pastors and leaders, they are busy gossiping, slandering, blackmailing and even amplifying the faults of their Pastors, especially in the world of social media. Many believers have joined this trend, rather than upholding ministers of the gospel in prayers. Don’t join this trend. That is not the conduct of a believer. Pray for your Pastor. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: Uphold your Pastor in your prayers.
CONFESSION: I pray for a door of utterance for ministers of the gospel globally, in Jesus Name, Amen.
