WHAT IS PRAYER? (1)

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” – Mark 11:24

LIGHT FOR NOW: There is need to understand what prayer is and what it entails in details in order to decipher what prayer is not.

We’ve been talking about prayer so far, we’ve even been hearing about prayer here and there, but the question that we aim to begin to look closely into is, what actually is prayer? It is important to define and know what prayer is not. For so many believers, they have a peripheral understanding or view about prayer. To them, prayer is viewed only as: What you do when you are in a difficult problem or situation. So, to so many, their idea of prayer is only situational or circumstantial, that is, I don’t pray until I’m in trouble or I’m in a difficult situation that needs the help of God. So to them, prayer is problem based or needs based and not purposed based. Don’t get this wrong, does prayer encapsulate us presenting our needs before God? Glory!

INSTRUCTION: Find out your identity in the word.

CONFESSION: I declare that I walk in the reality of what belong to me in Christ, in Jesus Name.  Amen.
