NOT UNDER THE LAW (29)

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”– Romans 3:19-24

LIGHT FOR NOW: The law of sin and death no longer applies to the man in Christ.

The law is the law of works, but justification is by faith. Faith in Jesus! Romans 3:26-28 “To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law”. By the deed of what is written in the law will no man be justified before God; it is excluded from the righteousness by faith. The law is because of sins; the believer is dead to sin and so is dead to the law and alive unto God through Christ Jesus. Romans 6:10-11 “For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord”.
We are identified and found in what God has done in Christ; in Christ we have our status and identity. If Jesus is dead to sin and alive to God, so is the believer. Romans 6:14 “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace”. We have been freed from the rule of sin and death, so the law of sin and death does not apply to us any longer. We have been led into the grace of God in Christ Jesus. 1Peter 1:2-3 “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead”. Glory!

INSTRUCTION: The law of sin and death does not apply to us any longer – Think on this!

DECLARATION: I have the Grace of God. I have peace with God I have been sanctified and separated by his spirit from sin and its law; I am alive by the resurrection of Jesus from the dead and elect in him, in Jesus Name, Amen

QUOTE: The believer has been led into the Grace of God in Christ; the works of the law does not apply to him again.
