NOT UNDER THE LAW (23)

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”– Romans 3:19-24

LIGHT FOR NOW: The believer has learnt to walk and conduct his or herself in accordance with his nature in Christ.

The born again man has God’s nature; he has the love of God as his nature. The fruit of the spirit which is the character of God is the DNA of the believer. Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law”. With the nature of God at work in the believer, he is now guided by the spirit of God and thus no longer needs the law as his guide. The believer has the spirit of life, and has fulfilled the righteousness of the law. We are of the spirit. We are alive from the dead. The law is for spiritually dead men who are under the hold of sin. Sons of God have his spirit; that is his nature. Galatians 5:25 “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit”.
The word “IF”, is the same as SINCE; since we exist in the spirit, let us also conduct ourselves in the spirit. The believer naturally lives in God’s righteousness as his sons and does not need the law. He has fulfilled the righteousness of the law by his nature and birth in Christ Jesus. We have the freedom from the law but not free freedom from our obligations in our righteousness in Christ as sons of God. We have learnt to walk and conduct ourselves in our nature in Christ. Galatians 5:13 “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another”. So, when we walk in the spirit, the righteousness of the law is fulfilled and we show that the love of God is superior to the law of carnal ordinances. Glory!

INSTRUCTION: You naturally live in God’s righteousness as a son of God; acknowledge this!

CONFESSION: I am a son of God, so I naturally live in God’s righteousness. I conduct myself in accordance with the nature of God in me, in Jesus Name, Amen

QUOTE: The believer is to walk and conduct himself in his nature.
