“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”– Romans 3:19-24
LIGHT FOR NOW: The law is not of faith but sons of God come into existence by the faith of God.
It is an established fact in previous studies that the law imputed transgression before Jesus came; the giving of the law was to show the state of men, the need for the grace and faith of God. The law preached and pointed men to faith in Christ. So the law was to hold on to them until Jesus; it showed in its condemnation the need for salvation by grace through faith in Jesus. At the arrival of Christ, the hold of the law expired. A breaking away from the law made men children of God by faith, so the sons of God were no longer under the law. Moses established the same (Deuteronomy 18:15-19; Acts 7:37).
Acts 3:20-24 “And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days”. Christ was called faith; after Christ/faith is come, no one should be under the law. The unbeliever tries to justify himself by his works in the law rather than in Christ. The law is not of faith, but sons of God come into existence by the faith of God in Christ Jesus. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: You are a son of God who by the faith of God is no longer under the hold of the law; acknowledge this.
CONFESSION: I am a son of God; I have received the grace of God in Christ, so I am not under the law but under grace. I have believed God’s love for me in Christ; I do not have a rebellious heart, in Jesus name, Amen.
QUOTE: You are born of the faith of God.
