NOT UNDER THE LAW (18)

“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”– Romans 3:19-24

LIGHT FOR NOW: The believer that is full of his identity will naturally walk in his reality.

Observe Paul’s words in verse 22 of Romans 6 “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life”. It’s been said in this study that the conduct of the believer is as a result of that freedom; that freedom that he has in Christ which is the fact that he has been made free from sin in Christ. So, part of the work of grace in the believer is the perfect believer in conduct; so, it is not a struggle for the believer but an ability resident in him by God’s spirit who resides within him. That spirit resident in him makes him obedient at heart. He naturally obeys God and his word. Obedience is his nature.
Hear what Ezekiel, the prophet said regarding this: Ezekiel 36:25 “Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you”. So, at salvation, the heart of stone (a rebellious heart) was taken away from the believer, and he was given a heart of flesh (a heart that naturally obeys God and yields to his statutes). Notice, he says in verse 27 that “He (at salvation) will put his spirit within us and he (by his spirit within us) will still be the one to cause us to walk in his statutes”. That shows us that his ability is resident within us. He is the one working in us, moulding and forming our conducts to conform to that of Christ. So, the believer is not without ability to obey God. Glory!

INSTRUCTION: Be full of the knowledge of your identity.

CONFESSION: I know who I am, and I walk in the reality of who I am, in Jesus Name, Amen

QUOTE: The believer is not without ability to obey God.
