“Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”– Romans 3:19-24
LIGHT FOR NOW: The place of knowledge for the believer cannot be overemphasized.
In last studies, it was conclusively deduced that the believer is obedient in nature. Romans 6:22 “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life”. The conduct of the believer is as a result of that freedom; it is part of the work of God’s grace in him, so the believer does not try to do but his ability is from what God has made him in Christ Jesus. He does no need laws to obey God; he is born of the obedience of Christ. Again, obedience is his nature, and not him adhering to some sort of rules and regulations or code of conduct. The born again mad does not have a rebellious nature, he has an obedient nature. It is natural for him to obey God’s work and un-natural for him to rebel against God’s word.
Obedience to God’s word is his identity and thus, if he finds himself living in rebellion to God’s word, he has what is called identity crisis; which implies he is deluding himself; he is acting who he is not; he is a pretender, pretending to be who he is not. The antidote to identity crisis is identity discovery. When the revelations of;
• Who the believer is,
• What the believer has,
• What the believer can do, dawns on the believer, that revelation or realization of his abilities, enablement and capacity in Christ Jesus empowers him to naturally work in his nature.
That is why knowledge cannot be over-emphasized for the believer. Philemon 1:6 “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus”. You naturally walk in the reality of who you are when the revelation of who you are dawns on you. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: Know who you are.
DECLARATION: The revelation of my identity dawns on me and I walk in the reality of my identity like never before, in Jesus Name, Amen.
QUOTE: Coming to the realization of who you are leads you to the maximization of the realization.
