REDEMPTION – WAS IT COMPLETED ON THE CROSS? (3)

“But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance” – Hebrews 9:11-15

LIGHT FOR NOW: Your redemption is not for a timeframe; but it is a once and for all time and eternity.

It’s been clearly seen in this study so far that the resurrection of Jesus is the hallmark of Christianity. What makes Christianity different from other so called religions is that:
• Jesus didn’t just die
• Jesus wasn’t just buried
• But Jesus rose from the dead according to the scriptures.
1Corinthians 15:3-4 “For I have shared with you what I have received and what is of utmost importance: The Messiah died for our sins, fulfilling the prophecies of the Scriptures. He was buried in a tomb and was raised from the dead after three days, as foretold in the Scriptures” (TPT). Observe verses 14 to 19 as the passion translation renders it; “And if Christ has not been raised, all of our preaching has been for nothing and your faith is useless. Moreover, if the dead are not raised, that would mean that we are false witnesses who are misrepresenting God. And that would mean that we have preached a lie, stating that God raised him from the dead, if in reality he didn’t. If the dead aren’t raised up, that would mean that Christ has not been raised up either. And if Christ is not alive, you are still lost in your sins and your faith is a fantasy. It would also mean that those believers in Christ who have passed away have simply perished. If the only benefit of our hope in Christ is limited to this life on earth, we deserve to be pitied more than all others”. (1Corinthians 15:14-19). Our Jesus today is not a dead Jesus; He is a living Jesus! He died, he was buried but the grave (tomb) could not hold him captive; he rose from the dead! Glory!

INSTRUCTION: You’ve been redeemed eternally; acknowledge this.

CONFESSION: I have eternal life which is eternal salvation and eternal redemption, in Jesus name, Amen.

QUOTE: In the resurrection of Jesus comes the completion of redemption.
