HOW QUICKLY SHOULD I USE MY WORDS (13)

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” – Mark 11:22-24

LIGHT FOR NOW: Your confession of faith is your affirmation of what God in Christ has done for you.

In Romans 10:9, Paul has this to say; “”. What was their confession? That God hath raised Jesus from the dead. So, what do we do with our words? We acknowledge that God raised Jesus from the dead. Hebrews 11:13 “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth”. Hebrews 13:15 “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name”. That is, “…acknowledge his name…” The word “name” was translated from a word that means position, function, and authority. So far, it is clear that the word “confession” is not used in reference to sins.
Confession means to acknowledge, consent to a conclusion that has been concluded, and them is consented to in words. So, the believer has a good confession – everything God has done in Christ is our now our confession. Philemon 1:6 “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus”. Our confession is what Christ has done. We speak with the mouth what we have believed in our hearts of what Christ has done, of his conclusion. Confession is to speak of that which has been concluded, that is, to say it in words. Glory!

INSTRUCTION: Say with your mouth what God has done for you in Christ.

CONFESSION: I speak boldly who I am in Christ – I am seated in Christ in the heavenly far alone, all principality and power.

QUOTE: Confession is the voice of faith in what Christ has done.
