“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” – Mark 11:22-24
LIGHT FOR NOW: Through the vehicle of words, we exercise our authority. Words not spoken is authority not exercised.
In Romans 4:17-21, it was established that Abraham’s responsibility was to call the things that be not as though they were. He would choose to put God’s word on his lips and speak of that which is not yet a reality in the natural as though it has happened. What were the things that be not? He was not a father. What did he call? I am a father. What did he become? He became a father. Verse 18 “…who against hope believed in hope”. This is in reference to Abraham. He had to align his words with what God said, that he might become… The word “become” means to come to pass. He was not weak in faith. He considered not his own body now dead. The word “consider” means to take account of, take note of, perceive… The word “dead” means to be deprived of life. “…nor the deadness of Sarah’s womb…”
The word “deadness” means important; it can not carry out a function. The word “consider” was used in Hebrews 3:1, Hebrews 10:24; James 1:23-24. Very vitally, it means to forget. His body communicated words to him, but Abraham did not make mention of it. He stopped repeating those words. Rather, he gave glory to God. He began to take into consideration instead what God had said about him. He spoke of it as though it were happening. He was fully persuaded, that is, he got to a point where nothing could change what he had affirmed. Therefore, being in faith is not a magic wand. You will need to call the things that are not as though they are. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: Release words of faith and watch the result it brings.
CONFESSION: I have the faith of Christ. I call the things that be not as though they were, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
QUOTE: Authority is exercised through the instrumentality of words.
