“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” – Mark 11:22-24
LIGHT FOR NOW: Walking in the word requires you consciously and constantly speaking the word over your life.
In Romans 4, Paul explained Abraham’s example of faith. Romans 4:17 “(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were”. The word “made” here means to ordain, to make. This implies that the man would have to function in it. It was also used in Romans 5:19 to describe how a man is not made a sinner because he is born into the word. He would have to make a choice to believe or not. Romans 4:17-21 “(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform”.
He believed God who quickened the death. The word “quickeneth” was used strictly for God and refers to the resurrection of the dead. Further references: John 5:21; John 6:63; 1Corinthians 15:22, 36, 45; 2Corinthians 3:6; 1Timothy 6:13; Galatians 3:21; 1Peter 3:18; Romans 8:10. So, it is God who quickeneth the dead. However, the next statement adds: “…and calleth the things that be not as though they were…” This is not in reference to God. God had spoken, a father of many nations have I made you… And the post-text spoke about the darkness of Abraham’s body and Sarah’s womb. So, it was Abraham’s responsibility to call the things that were not as though they were. The believer, therefore, has a responsibility to call the things that are not as though they were. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: Never stop speaking.
CONFESSION: I walk in victory; my path is a shining light; I don’t walk in the path of confusion, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
QUOTE: A believer that is not speaking is not harnessing and maximizing his authority.
