“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” – Mark 11:22-24
LIGHT FOR NOW: The believer must learn how to use his words and not just use his words but use his words rightly.
The authority of the believer was not given as a decoration, and neither was it given as an ornament. The believer’s authority was made available because it is a necessity. Your authority is necessary, that is why it was made available. The availability of the believer’s authority shows the necessity of that authority. Therefore, to maximize your realities and walk in the fullness of your identity, you must use your authority. Your authority is not just there; it is there because it is needed. The believer’s authority is not a mistake; thus, the believer has made the worst mistake if he doesn’t know and maximize the reality of his authority. The believer should use his words immediately – that’s how quickly he should use his words. Matthew 8:8 “The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed”.
The Centurion understood that Jesus did not have to be physically present for his words to work. Words are the tools of authority. His words are just as important as his presence because even if he showed up, he would still have to speak. His presence would still require his words, but his words would do the same as though he were physically present. As a believer, I must see my words as powerful enough to make things better or grow worse. I must not speak from an outburst of emotions. My words are my authority over life’s circumstances, and when doubt and fear are communicated to me via circumstances, I respond immediately with the word. Hebrews 13:5-6 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me”. He has given me his words so that I may boldly say. Glory!
INSTRUCTION: Speak to that mountain, that circumstances and watch it turn around for good.
CONFESSION: I respond immediately with faith-filled words to circumstances. I do not allow words filled with fear, doubt and worry to linger around me. I fill my mind with who I am in Christ, in Jesus name, Amen.
QUOTE: When circumstances communicate words to you, immediately communicate words back to the circumstances.
