HOW QUICKLY SHOULD I USE MY WORDS? (1)

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” – Mark 11:22-24

LIGHT FOR NOW: The believer is born of the word; his identity will thus not be found in the world but in the world.

The believer must place premium on his words. The need to pay attention to words that we speak is often overlooked; seen as inconsequential. However, a vital question to ask is: If you realized that all you said going forward would come to pass, how differently would you speak? This is because that is a fact in our speaking. The believer is not of this world. 1John 4:4-5 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them”. 1John 5:4-5 “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”.
The believer has the spirit of God in him. Ephesians 1:13 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise”. 1Corinthians 3:16 “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”. 1 Corinthians 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”. The believer is not to be conformed to this world; Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”. You are born of the word; hence, the word should guide your speech. Let not the world influence your speaking but let the word influence your speaking. Glory!

INSTRUCTION: Allow the word to influence your speaking.

CONFESSION: I am not of this world; I am born of the word, so the word of God is my manual as to how I speak, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

QUOTE: You are born of the word to live by the word.
