THE LAW OF FAITH (24)

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith”– Mark 11:23

LIGHT FOR NOW: In what you say on a daily basis, you program where your life will go or is going.

The writer of Proverbs says: Proverbs 18:20-21 “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; And with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Tongue here refers to words. “…and they that LOVE it shall eat the fruit thereof”. The word “love” means fervent affection. This means that when people place premium on their words, they eat what they say. So God actually made it easier said than done. James also spoke on the importance of words.
James 3:2-8 “For in many things we offend all. If any man offends not in word, the same is a perfect man, and he is able to bridle the whole body. Behold, we put bits in the horses’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so, the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison”. The bible was not written in chapters and verses. So, from the pretext (chapter 2), he was speaking about walking in love. Faith without works, which is love, is dead. James 3:2 “For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body”. He then addresses words; the first way to walk in love is by what you say. Glory!

INSTRUCTION: Mind what you say.

CONFESSION: My words are seasoned with grace; they are words of faith, and so I’ll have what I say, in Jesus’ Name, Amen

QUOTE: The first point to walking in love is in what you say.
