LAW OF FAITH  (12)

“Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all”– Ephesians 1:16-23

LIGHT FOR NOW: The law of faith puts emphasis on our speaking – for we shall have whatsoever we say.

The father’s right hand is the believers’ authority. The term “right hand” was used in Genesis 35:18 and Genesis 41:38-44 (Pharaoh and Joseph). The right hand has to do with a place of authority; it speaks of a regent, describing one who takes the place of a king in his absence. However, there is one who is not subject to the regent, and that is the king. Jesus is at the right hand of the father; hence, everything is under him but God. Read John 5:22-27, Mathew 28:18-20 – this happened at the resurrection. Hence, the authority Jesus had in the epistles is different from that in the four gospels. After his resurrection, he became Lord. Philippians 2:9-10

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth”. Hebrews 1:3 “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high”.

When Jesus rose from the dead, he sat at the right hand, referring to his exaltation. He rose as the first begotten from the dead. He brought many sons unto glory (Hebrews 2:9-11). The believer, by identification, also has this authority. The efficient, mighty, dynamic, and operational power of God is now located in the believer. He therefore has the responsibility to put the faith he has received to work, acknowledge the authority he has received; and thus express it in his words. He would say (command, instruct by speaking), and he would have whatsoever that he says. Glory!

INSTRUCTION: You are in authority, so use your words rightly.

CONFESSION: I have the power of God at work in me. I have been raised with Christ, I am seated in him, exalted, I have the believer’s authority; I use my faith; I put it to words, and I have whatsoever that I say, in Jesus Name, Amen

QUOTE: The law of faith works with the general law of words – what you say is what you get.
